Actually, LdrawList will handle subfiles so you don't have to inline the model. LdrawList was able to be downloaded from the James Jessiman's Memorial site, but the link to Huw Millington's (the creator of LdrawList) site appears to be broken. (...) (27 years ago, 7-Sep-99, to lugnet.cad)

I just made a LEGO version of Tutebot, the analog bump-sensing robot found in the book "Mobile Robots" by Joseph Jones, Bruce Seiger, and Anita Flynn from the MIT AI Lab. Hi All I have built such a device as part of my rather belated entry to "Joel's Challenge" The grippers are connected to an arm via the small bevel gears.
