Here's what I do, not as a law, but as a rule of thumb. I decide what it is I really want before hand. I avoid impulsive shopping unless I see a clearance that's really cool. What do you all do with the Adventurers minifigs you accumulate after buying a few sets? I find the models to be fairly interesting (mainly the Egyptian theme), and buy the sets based on the models. Hello, I was stopped at a crossing today and I saw four Union Pacific MOW vehicles go by. Two of them were Pandrol Jackson model 6700s and the other two didn't have any obvious markings. They all looked weird to my untrained eye. Does anyone know (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

Just wanted to say that I have seen the periodic surging Larry was talking about. There were two short cars in the train, and there were 4 long cars, long red train baseplate length, in the train. Sure enough the caboose slowed down and sped up (...) (25 years ago, 23-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)

The lower half of the nose piece has two square openings. To my knowledge only the special trans-yellow "Y" will fit into these square openings and allow a single bulb to illuminate the right and left side simultaneously. If you increase the spacing (...) Anytime you feel like sharing that, well, go right ahead! =) I've gotten pretty frustrated trying to import files into 3DSMax. dat2dxf works but my models end up having over 70,000 polygons (in at least one case) and become to cumbersome to work (...) I think he's referring to my brick buttons, not the background. Those are 3d studio bricks, I've built my own database (though it's a ways from being complete).
