If it's only operated while there's no weight on the craft, it becomes much easier, you only need some kind of locking mechanism so the motor isn't (...) I've been pondering using one of the Znap motors to power a landing gear mechanism strong enough to at least hold, if not lift a decent sized space craft (including the motor and battery box- if possible) Any ideas? You may have already discovered this, but creations built of Znap are almost always an odd number of System studs long. I built a Space Freighter frame and the cargo containers all had to be 7 studs wide and seven studs long. I forget how tall they (...) (22 years ago, 31-Jan-02, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.build)

If ya like ZNAP, here's a killer scoop--There is an old Toys R us in Decatur, GA (Atlanta area) that is now a "Toy Liquidation Center"--Znap Racer and Helicopter are 4 bucks after the "60% off ALL LEGO" liquidation.... I think I got the last of the (...) (23 years ago, 5-Oct-01, to lugnet.znap)

Something similar may have already be posted but this is my first time to this forum. I went on vacation the past weekend and went into a KB-Toys outlet, there I found a Z nap set which I bought. It was number 3571 and was $13, has anyone else seen (...) (23 years ago, 27-Aug-01, to lugnet.znap)

FYI Update. 3571 sets (with motor), 3551 and hard box sets #? all available at National Wholesale Liquidators in Yonkers NY (off I87) for $7.97!!!! That's less than the $9.99 closeout at TRU (now long gone). There were at least 20+ 3571's on the (...) (23 years ago, 1-Apr-01, to lugnet.znap)

I was inspired to create this after I had finished a ferris wheel for my son but could not quite get the wheel structure right with (...) Rob, I got all the "bulk" Znap I could use buying sets at TRU for $10 to get the motors out of them. As TRU is still selling these sets, i'd imagine that it's going to be hard to sell the pieces off. Found in a Chinese newspaper: (URL) says the kitten was born without the hip bone and cannot walk. An animal doctor in Pennsylvania made a wheel chair for the kitten so it can walk with only two legs. At first it looks like Znap to me, but it should (...) I would like to offer evidence supporting what you said. On the znap set I bout in Livonia MI there is a sticker in like 7 languages. unusual for us legos. the box was also very dusty with a sawdust like dust. "Philip Ogston" (...) (24 years ago, 23-Jul-00, to lugnet.znap)

TRU in Fresh Pond Shopping Mall (Alewife, MA) had the larger sets (as of yesterday), i.e. #3591, #3552 and #3571 as well as some 3581 Formula Z Car in Storage Box (no motor). I bought a few, but left many (at least 20 I guess). Note that TRU online (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jul-00, to lugnet.znap, lugnet.technic, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.robotics)

(...) My experience with Znap has been "mixed". Certainly, I couldn't've done my ferris wheel without those huge 1/8th-circle pieces. But I found it impossible to build a suitable support frame for it with Znap: the plastic is softer than Technic, (...) Lego made ZNAP sets about years 1998-1999. Some pieces snap together while others fit with Technic pegs and axles. They make sturdy frames that do not pull apart during movement, especially useful for robotics. Looks like Lego will use TRU to unload (...) ...and this time I don't mistake K'nex for being Znap. *blush* Today, I found a bounch of 3505 Aeroplane for SEK 29.00 each (=US$ 3.25), and some 3554 Helicopter for SEK 69.00 each (=US$ 7.75).
