I have just been designing a layout for a train show (in Scotland) and noticed some interesting track geometry. Two curves placed together to give an "S" or reverse curve take up the same dimensions as two straights one at 0 degrees and the other at (...) (24 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

O, wow... Gianluca, your EuroCity Express train is gorgeous. I love the skirting about the wheels on the locomotives. It looks like the wheels and the skirting pivot together. Is that true? (...) The one I have seen on shelves has been the one with the soccer ball (with the exclusion of the LEGO Imagination Center). So for most people they the non-soccer ball bus set are S@H only. I am really impressed by the Saabs and the Ferraris - unbelievable that you've managed to capture the look of the vehicles in the restrictions of 4-wide scaling. There are currently two different trains- 4561 Railway Express (Blue Turbo in Europe, far cooler name) Description: Mainly blue & white passenger train. Pitiful small engine. There is a nice passenger car with a mini movie theatre, and a similar car (...) (24 years ago, 2-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Well it is 1x4 tile intensive. Obviously the tiles are all attached to a plate base which is attached to the car using Technic Beams and 1/2 pegs. The stud end of the peg goes into the lowest row of holes in the plates. The ends are done the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Sep-00, to lugnet.trains)
