There are currently two different trains-

4561 Railway Express (Blue Turbo in Europe, far cooler name)
Description:  Mainly blue & white passenger train. Pitiful small engine.  There
is a nice passenger car with a mini movie theatre, and a similar car for
transporting the passengers' vehicles.  It also has a little truck, a
loading ramp, and some nifty crates for putting cargo in.
Included Rails: 16 curved, 2 straight.  You need more than this.
Speed Regulator: Yes.
Pieces: 645
Price: $129.99 through S@H

4565 Freight & Crane Railway
Description: Mainly red and black freight train.  Cool powerful engine and
three flatbed cars.  There is also a large truck and a station with a scale and
two cranes.  I want this for Christmas.
Included Rails: 16 curved, 4? straight
Speed Regulator: No.
Pieces: 966
Price: $139.99 through S@H, additional $41.99 for speed regulator.

Last year there was a lot of cool extras made for the Train theme.
4533 Train Track Snow Remover
4541 Road N'Rail Service truck
4553 Train Wash (includes 2 straight rails and a flatbed car)
4556 Train Station (it has a kitchen, a bank, and a dining room; plus a yellow
three-wheel motorcycle apparently for mail delivery)
4557 Freight Loading Station

You can also get extra rails.

The best place to get Train stuff is LEGO Shop at Home, becasue many of the
items are not sold in any store.  All of the products I mentioned are in the
current catalog I have.

Hi,

I just joined the list and have a few beginner questions on LEGO trains.

First, what sets are currently available? Ideally a sets that come with
track, trains, transformer, etc. Basically something to get started with.

Where is a good place to buy from? Ideally online.

Thanks,

Henry
