After a couple of hours, my 12volt points motor gray box is opened. I damaged the top cover slightly at its base along the flange at one corner. The damage is a flex/cut through the flange caused by too strong of a cut into the very small gap (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Yes gray bricks were not available during the 60's, only gray plates. But that doesn't mean that LEGO didn't produce them for their models. Hi folks! I got a scan of a newspaper concerning a 51 years old Lego fan, who has built a whole town in his subterrain rooms. Now he has come out and shows his stuff including some train layout in a museum (he owns one to two million bricks in (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town) !

I'm only aware of red, yellow, and white. From memory and the set database at lugnet/inv, the large sliding doors came in the following: red: 2 in 740 Building Set (also includes red/yellow train doors and yellow train windows!) 2 in 5077 Parts Pack (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

Yeah was talking to the manager a couple of weeks ago, they did get a variety of train stuff in,but it was all the standard stuff you get from S@H. I was hoping for some discontinued sets, but really I'm glad they have something in stock. I just (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

I was at the store last week. They didn't have any train sets other than the current one. They had quite a bit of track though, also a few accessories (snow clearing train, track repair truck, etc). NOW the question is, what other colors did they come in, in what sets? I know of red in 78xx mail car, and yellow in 6391. Any other colors? I have too many white, need more red/yellow, and would LOVE it if they existed in grey, or best of all, (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

The City is Knoxville, Tenn. The only picture they showed was from the inside of the shed where they are rebuilding it and it was dark and showed no details of the train... The story says they tried to use it in a quarry operation but it wasn't (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) It could be 7838. If you received these pieces in a "lot" with other pieces, a further determiner would be the 1x4x5 white framed windows (2493), and black supports 2 x 4 x 5, stanchion inclined (4476), or red sloped tipper ends (3436). Any of (...) (24 years ago, 10-May-00, to lugnet.trains)

(...) This is the right behavior (at least until now) if you select absolute rotation angles. In this case MLCad ignores all view angles and uses the specified one instead. (...) When I tried to use a rotation step (first time), all 4 windows showed the rotated model in view mode, leaving me slightly puzzled. I don't know if that's the way it's intended to be.
