The pod ship is a really interesting idea Joe. If you watch 'Enterprise', one of the races (the Suliban Kabal) have a station composed entirely of small pods linked together. Hey Joe, Great MOCs. I like the idea of the multipod. You could add pods for different uses--communications array, passengers, cargo--and reconfigure your ship for each mission. I recently nabbed a bunch of the translucent (and pearlescent) Lego Pen Beads from BrickLink and at Tom Stangl's suggestion are using them to snazz up the lamps that I have scattered about the gardens of Brickenbloom* and Brickmond (RichLUG's (...) Ross has been at it again: (URL) yellow hopper is modeled after an HO Peabody hopper that was given to Ross as a boy-- he carried it everywhere. Then he built red and black versions. I finally acquired enough dark red to put together a little building for the TCLTC layout (another "backdrop" building). I was really anxious to see the dark red in action, so to speak, and I think it was worth the wait! I *really* like this color (...) Interesting. So...how to deal with the new plates... Actually, I have been noticing in "real-life" how roads with pavement over a year or two old tends to be sunbleached to a light gray similar to the old style Lego plates. Only the newest of (...)
