Not at all... in fact you've hit the nail right on the head as far as I'm
concerned about the entire race question. What you call "value" is more
acurately termed (in this discussion anyway) skin albeido. That is, the level
of light reflectivity of the skin surface.
The fact is, that if you took a broad sampling of all the peoples of the world,
you could create a perfectly smooth albeido gradient from the darkest dark to
the palest pale, and there would be no interruptions, breaks, or jumps in the
gradient from one end to the other, AND you would not be able to designate any
racial category boundaries between any two people by looking at their skin
albeido or their genetic codings. (paraphrased from _The Human Species, An
