I like this last point. I think the people who are bothered the most about
this minifig race issue are suffering from a mistaken impression that yellow
figs are/were ever meant to accurately represent caucasians. These Barbie
analogies are irrelevant because Barbies have been made with accurate
caucasian skintones, so a real distinction can be made between them and
other 'racially' skin-toned Barbies. Lego didn't start out by making a
pretense of accurately representing or otherwise singling out racial groups.
We could do worse than follow their example.
