  Re: Robo Soccer From Convict

(...) Dear Robo Soccer Fans, I've ordered the IR serial tower and the card for the laptop to accept the tower. After three years it will be a great thrill to see the communications. (URL) (18 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: Robo Soccer From Convict

(...) Dear Claude, I cannot thank you enough for your support. I posted this to Lugnet in hopes there was another who could help me. Would you not know that the serial tower vs USB tower was a question I had? I will get a serial tower and continue. (...) (19 years ago, 28-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: Robo Soccer From Convict

(...) Hi Tom, You selected one of our hardest ROBOLAB projects. The journal shows you many things, but perhaps is not explicit enough to help you through what you intend to do with it. However note that the Soccer communication only works with the (...) (19 years ago, 28-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Robo Soccer From Convict

I am working on learning RoboLab by making this program work. (URL) then GPS7.vi & LEGO_Soccer.lib then SOCCER5.VI WHAT HAPPENS: 1. SOCCER5.VI downloads into the RCX several tasks and subs. 2. Once running GPS7.vi it does not seem to send (...) (19 years ago, 27-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: communication between NXT and RCX!?

(...) The NXT has a new sensor control bus. That allows many ways to interact almost anything you want. From Hear-say i have heared that HiTechnics is building an NXT - IR converter in the size of a NXT sensor..   Java on the NXT

I got lucky and now have a NXT on my desk, thanks to the MDP. Now is a good time to make suggestions for the API of the NXT lejos. Roger Glassey (19 years ago, 8-Mar-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Brick Basket

Hi there, finally i found the time to publish some of my robots, designs and rendered animations on the web. Have a look at: (URL) will add more material on a regular basis. Hopefully i will be ready until the NTX will be released ;) Regards Carsten (19 years ago, 28-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

  Power down time

In The administrator section you can set the power down time - the time that the RCX will stay on, unattended. The range is 0-255 with 0 meaning always on, and the rest in minutes. No matter what time I choose, I can't make this work all the time. (...) (19 years ago, 16-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: Brickos c++ threads problem

(...) The h8300 gcc compiler is really buggy across different versions of gcc/binutils. Using the wrong version of binutils/gcc with each other always causes extremely strange problems on my RCX. Usually it will allow me to send the firmware, but (...) (19 years ago, 14-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: Brickos c++ threads problem

(...) Danny, I've not used C++, but I have seen problems like this. For me, it happened when the firmware in my brick didn't match the firmware I compiled the program to use. However, it doesn't sound like that's the problem your having. I'd suggest (...) (19 years ago, 13-Feb-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Brickos c++ threads problem

:Hi. I'm currently working on a thesis using Brickos 0.9.0. I succeeded in writing, compiling and uploading c code.   Re: Should I lubricate my Lego motor?

(...) You may want to check if your motors are the new type 9V geared motor (#43362). If so, please be aware it is prone to failure, the first sign being sticking.   Should I lubricate my Lego motor?

My robot is having a hard time getting around and I think that it's because the motors seem to be sticking. Even on my linoleum floor, my little tank robot often gets stuck and goes in slow circles, because one motor gets stuck. Once I nudge it or (...)   Programming the RCX using Lego's RCX Software

I am relatively new to the RIS, the RCX, and the RCX software. Just like many of you, I discovered pretty quickly that the RCX software is not intuitive to someone who has done programming before.   Re: LNPd with USB Tower - success?

(...) I've never used LNPd, but since it's old enough to have "legOS" as its first letter, then it must support the serial IR tower. If no one else has info for you, you might consider buying one.   Re: HOWTO: Building and installing brickOS tools on Mac OS X with USB IR tower

(...) As I said to Marc in a private email (I have trouble posting to lugnet, not being a member and all), I hacked "dll" so that it works on Mac OS X 10.4 with the USB tower, using the USB code from lejos. (URL) that helps. cheers peter (19 years ago, 10-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  Re: HOWTO: Building and installing brickOS tools on Mac OS X with USB IR tower
