Hi,

FYI, I've successfully used RCX on a MacBook Pro (Mac OS X/Intel) using :

- MacOS X 10.4.6
http://www.apple.com

- MacNQC v4.0b4 (running under rosetta)
http://homepage.mac.com/rbate/MacNQC/

- LEGO SERIAL Tower (yes, Serial)

- Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter
http://www.keyspan.com/products/usb/USA19HS/

- Keyspan USB Serial Adapter software for Mac OS X v2.0 (universal binary)
http://www.keyspan.com/support/macosx/usa/

It works fine, despite MacNQC is a PPC App.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I'll try later Spybotics instead of RCX, but it should also work fine.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Other config working successfully (if you really need it on a Mac) :
- Windows XP SP2 with Apple BootCamp on the MacBookPro
- Lego Software or any other software
- LEGO SERIAL Tower (yes, Serial)
- Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter with windows XP driver

----------------------------------------------------------------

So, the MacBook Pro is a really great multi-OS laptop computer for Mindstorms
:-)

----------------------------------------------------------------

Wishes :
- an universal binary MacNQC
- an universal binary BrickOS & leJOS (not yet investigated)

(...) Excellent! Thanks for testing this. Now I have a reason (excuse?) when I want to upgrade to an Intel-based Ma. Nifty. I'm *guessing* that if it works with a serial/USB converter, it should certainly work with the USB tower. (...) Yes, (...) (19 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)
