No, it was extremely well-done for the amount that YOU'VE paid for it.

Yes, Kevin may own Brickshelf, as a landlord owns a building. But he doesn't
own the contents of the units.

But no, we have to have all this total control junk with
religious/political/personal beliefs judging our content.

If your image is killed, RE-UPLOAD it. Chances are you'll get someone more
tolerant and it will be approved. IF it takes 10 uploads then do it!

Okay, this is getting further and further into the "Pretty Damn Loopy" category.

I have one suggestion for anyone who openly criticizes Kevin for the way he
handles his server:  stop and think about how much of an ass you're making
of yourself.

The same goes for anyone demonizing the recent moderation process based on
pure speculation.

The same goes for anyone promoting aggressive activity in an attempt to
force your content onto Brickshelf.

The only people politicizing the moderation process are the ones who are
complaining about it.  The only people guilty of "killing Brickshelf" are
ones proclaiming its death.

Dean, listen closely.  I'm going to make it real simple for you.
Brickshelf... costs... you... NOTHING.  You don't own one iota of ANYTHING
on Brickshelf, except the right to restrict publishing of what you've
already uploaded.  What Kevin has provided (with the vast majority of it out
of his own pocket) is a service, free for you to use.  You just don't piss
all over him if you don't agree with his rules.  He has bent over backwards
to provide this service you selfishly want to control, and he's gotten very
few thanks in proportion to what he's given.

How much support in terms of money or time or effort have you lent to
Brickshelf to make it what it is?  What's that, the bulk of your
contributions consist of consuming disk space and bandwidth?  You anger me, sir.

I suggest that if you want to have more control over your web site, you go
out and pay for a provider.

Cheers,
- jsproat
