Ah, fair enough. I read a kind of “what happened to you staying out of OTD and
staying there” tone which apparently wasn’t intended. Bad read. Actually, I
enjoy the stimulating exchange of ideas here, but back then, the subject matter
got too racy for my taste in a public forum, so I chose not to be a part of it.
Also, I’m self-employed and sometimes I haven’t the time to fully respond in a
discussion, and that also was a time like that.
I really value a place where virtually everyone disagrees with me (although it
can be time consuming to respond to so many attacks:-) in order to clarify and
(try to, at least) understand differing positions.
It’s not nearly as good as a f2f discussions because of the clumsy medium, but
it has it’s advantages, too. Speaking of “bad reads”; though I sometimes get
annoyed by certain respondants in this forum, there isn’t one with whom I
wouldn’t enjoy sitting down at a bar and talking about it over a beer:-)
