In general. Both the conventional Right and conventional Left (in the US anyway) want to restrict choices... I think you’re right, the right may be a bit more nervous about gender bending but that’s small potatoes really.

The quote I cited to John is one I agree with and one that makes me think that the speaker isn’t Right OR Left...
