I thought you were referring a thread at some point in the past. It is clear I mentioned it 1st in this thread and that you have called yourself part-irish in the past. I’m not sure what your point is? Have I offended you?

No, no offense. I just thought there was irony to you faulting Americans for not being able to identify themselves simply as Americans, and then doing the same yourself to someone who had not done so. :-)

Well you have identified yourself “Half-Irish”. Why is it a problem for me to remind you of that?

Searching under the phrase you place in quotes yields no messages that I can find where I said such. Wouldn’t be accurate anyway since I am not half-Irish.

Search for “bruce half irish”. It is not the phrase i place in quotes, but you do say you are half Irish!

Not another word safari! If you have an exact cut and paste quote, I can figure it out. I’m 1/4 Irish. The most I can figure is that I was sloppy and said something about the Irish “half” of the family because I only deal with the German and Irish sides, and never the Norwegian or Dutch.

But that’s not saying I’m “Irish-American” in any case. :-)

and that you keep doing it and keep not seeing the irony in it. :-)

“Americans don’t do irony”; that is why your sit-coms are so bad! I’m British; we invented irony!

No, the Irish invented irony. The English simply stole it (and it bounces off the Scots, who simply don’t understand it).

I don’t watch sit-coms in any case.
