Someone, somewhere, in a position of Canadian Authority, told it like it is.

He may disagree with Bush's decisions handling worldwide terrorism, but
calling them "moronic" is mere demogoguery.

Why is it that when Limbaugh, Reagan, Gallagher, Buchannan, Falwell,
Robertson, Carlson, Will, O'Reilly et al spout pro-Republican invective it's
called "fair and balanced reporting," but when a left-leaning commentator voices
n opinion it's called demagoguery?  Is that the accursed Liberal Media at work
again?  Given your love of free speech, I expect that you'd like to have the
Canadian commentator strung up next to Jessica Lange.

What I'd like to hear are some alternate solutions to deal with terrorism that
don't include a dependence upon the naive solution of diplomacy (because I've
seen how well that strategy has worked in the ME)

See?  There's a fine example--you decry the (yet to be proven inaccurate)
label of "moronic" as demagoguery, but you're happy to dismiss diplomacy (as
yet untried in the current situtation) as "naive."  And your rhetorical point
is weakened still further since you're concluding that, because diplomacy
hasn't worked in one situation, it cannot work in another.  And your typical
over-generalizing is once again shining through by your offhand reference to
diplomatic 'failure' "in the ME" as if that region were to be painted with a
single brush.
Bravo to you for your unflappable consistency!

    Dave!

By the way--what *would* Jesus drive?

Let me also point out what Pat B is saying about Canadians--"Look at all we
have done for them and they continue to whine."

K, Pat, I'm sitting here waiting for you to list all the great and wondrous
things you "'Mericans" have done for us "whiney Canadians".

Go ahead, I'm listening.

Oh sorry, was that a little too whiney?

As a Christian who truly believed that Jesus existed, and does exist, a la
2nd coming, I think she'd drive a, I wanna say WV bus, but that's just silly.

Dave K.

(...) You mean "VW"? And would that be before or after his sex change operation? -John (22 years ago, 24-Nov-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
