Either date is fine with me. I'd really like the August date to be in Fremont as I plan on bringing a ton of Town stuff to that meeting. When I attended the Legofest put on in March, I met two other train enthusiasts, one from San Diego county and the other from Orange (If I recall correctly). Having the club based in the middle of the state is a thought but it seems to me that (...) As you are in southern CA and others are in the North, I proposed having it based in the middle of the state. Sure, it is a drive for each set of people, but not like driving from San Diego to SF or vice versa. On another note, I am part way done (...) Dave, I have the set of plans Ben Fleskes made up and although I hade a similar table made, I was going to make more and decided to change to Ben's design, as mine was probably overkill. I just spent another 1.5 days at legoland, many new stuff at the shop since my last visit (opening day).. postcards - I can find 4 different ones: the "lake" at entrace w/ dinasaur, legoland ca park map, lego sub at the imagination zone, and statue (...) I called our KTVU contact, and talked about the Bay Insider parenting project... They have a 2-page minimum to be in the listings. Hi, Someone at my office just told me he saw on the Local News (KRON-channel 4) last nite that TLG is planning to build a FACTORY in Marin County CA. Fred, I too was just in Disneyworld and didn't notice any shampoo bottles. While they did have regular kits that you can get through Shop@Home they had the only floor display I have ever seen of trains (tracks and things), Scala, belleville, parts (...) I have aquired a motor and battery box similiar to that in set # 116. I am going to try and recreate the engine and tender from this set. The X-10 Lamp module controllers can only handle resistive loads, like lightbulbs. Inductive loads (like motors) screw them up royally. My initial experiments have met with limited success. But, since there seems to have been some equipment damaged, I wanted to share my findings as a caution to others who might try. :-( I used the RF "transceiver" module. This plugs into the wall, (...)
