Why don't you read this really GREAT analysis and then draw your own conclusion?

(I wonder if Green Bay even MAKES the top 100 MSAs?? I didn't download the list
but I am guessing not)

Green Bay was ranked #1 in business-friendly small towns by Inc. Magazine, which
I don't quite believe, and Madison quite often makes lists of "Best places to
have kids". But Milwaukee is the only big MSA, #36, with 1.5 million people.
Milwaukee is only 90 miles from the nearest Lego store (Woodbridge) and a $20
train ticket from the one in downtown Chicago. Life is not too bad. This also
points to a weakness in trusting MSA rank - cities are still close to each
other, and MSAs are aggregated together only by daily commuter exchanges, not
weekend shopping. NY/NJ is represented at #1 at full strength, while #3 Chicago
is a bit underestimated.
