In our effort to bring a little slice of LEGO heaven all corners of the world, we have 6 new LEGO stores coming soon!

Bellevue, WA
Santa Clara, CA
San Mateo, CA
Bridgewater, NJ
McLean, VA
Rockaway, NJ

(For more details, keep an eye on the LEGO Stores Web site. We’ll soon be updating with more info.

Hopefully this will make some folks (I know the San Franciscans for sure!) happy.

And yes, I know there are still a great many cities that don’t have a LEGO store close by, and we’re working on that. We can only do so much at a time!

Jake

(...) It's great to know this, but what does it really matter? I live in Minn and the only thing the Lego store at the MOA offers that I can't get at the local Walmart or Target is PAB. (Unfortunately, the one here, in general, stinks. Same old (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) Jake, Is there a reason why there is no store in NYC yet? (Something to do with the Times Square TRU maybe?). There are so many other 'brand' stores here that it really baffles me why there isn't a Lego Store yet. Jonathan (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) Spain? when are you planning to place a Lego Store in Spain? With our bright sun, these Lego Stores would shine as no other Store in the world... Pleease, place a big Lego Store in South Europe (with USA prices of course ;-) ¡Saludos desde (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego)

Jake, you dont really mean "ALL corners of the World" do ya? I can think of quite a few that will never see one in my lifetime!!! I would be happy to be proved wrong. :-) Ram "Jake McKee" <jacob.mckee@america.lego.com> wrote in message (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) This is great! The new improved LEGO store website is a lot batter too. I don't live close to any of these new locations, so instead of asking for yet another LEGO store where I live, I'd just like to see one moved. Illinois has 3 LEGO stores (...)   Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) I'm just waiting for one to open up in Michigan. Grand Rapids or Lansing would probably be a regular run, and I could even hit one in Detroit a couple times a year, but Chicago is considerably less than convenient for me. It seems very odd (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) I'm sure there are some happy people out there, but none of them are in CANADA! Come on Jake, let them know we're waiting up here! We need PAB in Canada! Play well. Tim Strutt ParLUGment (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.loc.ca, FTX)

(...) Psst, Jake: contrary to popular believe, the world does NOT end at the borders of the USoA. (...) Great for the people who live there! (...) Cities? Try countries or even continents... (...) I know you can only do so much at a time. But how (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) Thanks for the heads up Jake. Any word on the non-USA stores? I know a few have already opened, but if there are any more it would be good to know these as well. And some dates and exact locations would be nice (when the opening is getting (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) This isn't a complaint, more LEGO stores are always better, but... Why are you opening 2 in the Bay Area, 2 in New Jersey (for a total of 3) and 1 more in Virginia (for a total of 2)? I can think of many other places in the US that need one (...) (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

Put some in Australia. Mabie 1 in every capital city. Or failing that, put one in Sydney and/or Melbourne but have a mail-order thign where people not close enough to those cities could have access to whatever the store sells. (20 years ago, 10-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

(...) Why are there two store right next to each other? It seems kind of odd to have one store in southern CA, two in mid CA and NONE in northern CA, where I live. Would it really hurt that much to remove the store from San Mateo and put it (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) Hi Jake, Great that there come more LEGO(c) stores, but i'm missing one important thing on the LEGO Stores Web site. I can't find the opening hours for the store in Köln - Germany. So my question is now: can some one from LEGO add those (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Out of curiousity: I'm not sure if you are actually familiar with the layout of any given store, but there is a vast difference in the two southern California stores. Downtown Disney is a stylish store with lots of sculptures, but is miserably (...) (20 years ago, 12-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

Hi Jake, Thanks for the heads up! I live about an hour north of Bellevue, WA and expect that I will be making more trips down there than I ever have before. Josh Wedin (20 years ago, 12-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) Sweet! New LEGO stores? I'm in! I hear they have some pretty groovy people teach them the ways of the brick when they are hired...I think Scott Lyttle may also know somthing of this... -Brett (20 years ago, 13-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)
  Re: New LEGO Stores!

I don't know why Jake bothers anymore. For a group of adults, this place acts like one heck of a child. "But I want a LEGO store in my backyard, and here's why my backyard deserves one! How come New York gets more? It's not fair!" This place whines (...) (20 years ago, 13-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

  Re: New LEGO Stores!

Hey Jake - any chance of getting an update on the new stores? There has been a post or two here on Lugnet hinting at new stores and I just found (URL) this news page>: "A new 8,000-sf tenant to be announced soon for Ontario Mills, the 1.7-million-sf (...)
