Ah hah!  Has anyone else noticed that the pumpkin pack is advertised in 1
place, and 1 place only?  You will only find out about this set if you are
on-line.  Hmm.  A low price set at a lower than retail price-per-brick,
containing a highly-sought-after color of brick, only offered to people who
are on-line.

In more generic terms, a desirable product with good market penetration
advertised in only 1 (of many) markets.  Hmm.  Aside from any other purposes
LEGO might have, it seems to me that this set will do a very good job of
estimating how many of their S@H customers are on-line.  They *know* that
Lugnet will hear about this kind of thing, but that the average parent who
orders from the catalogue won't...

Or am I just weird?

(...) Well, yeah. I assumed that from the get-go. Although I'll dispute your "lower than retail price-per-brick" estimate. There are 87 bricks in the pack, and one pack cost me about 11USD. That's about 0.126USD per brick. That's nowhere near the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Oct-00, to lugnet.general)
