Well, I don't know about homes made of LEGO, the actual discount limits per
year are not that generous (I know the numbers but won't be specific). But I
know several S@H employees by name (I do talk to them a lot) and more of
*them* know who *I* am. Sometimes we talk about other stuff than my order.
Unlike other call centers at other companies, they aren't measured quite as
tightly on calls per hour, which is wise policy on TLC's part IMHO.

Nope. They like TLC and prefer working for LEGO. They could work elsewhere,
almost anywhere, without needing to relocate, it's HARD to hire good call
center people in the US. We have an employee shortage, remember? LEGO takes
better care of them than most companies do.
Are they uniformly raving AFOLs? No. Some are more amused by us and our
obsession than anything else. But they're almost all sympathetic, friendly
people who honestly want to help us, who are amazed at what we create (they do
surf our sites), how much we've accomplished as a community in gathering
information and organising, and how much we know about TLC (and how quickly we
disseminate new tidbits)... and a LOT of them really do like LEGO way more
than average. That's based on what they told me, nothing more. I haven't
actually driven to CT and inspected their houses or anything. However I
believe them.
So either they all lie to me, I'm lying to you, or you're wrong. I know which
way I'm betting.
