Apparent bugs:

That's a bug.  Probably for everyone.  I'll have to examine all the
messages from the popup windows to see which ones are stolen by the
LEDIT mode keyboard handler.

* In predefined view 8 (UpsideDown), the up arrow causes the selected
part to move southeast (down and right), and the down arrow moves the
part northwest.  Not sure if this is deliberate.  If it's possible to
reverse this without messing up other part moving, it's
counterintuitive enough that I'd cast a vote for reversing.

I guess this was deliberate.  For all the views not available in LEDIT
(including any random spin) I used the same arrow key setup which
really only makes the most sense for a model that's mostly right side
up and mostly facing towards you.  I suppose I could make an exception
for UpsideDown since it's a predefined ldlite view.  Or I could get
really fancy and do some dot products with view vector and the model's
Up and Front vectors in order to guess which way the arrows should go...

* I get some inappropriate lines (related to part structures that
should be non-visible) showing up in perspective mode.  I can e-mail
you a screenshot if you want.

Yes, please do.  I think I've cleaned up enough space on hotmail for
a screenshot if you can get it well under a megabyte.  Does this
happen all the time in perspective mode?  I remember a long time ago
there was a problem with Macs in perspective mode.  Or it could just
be zfighting which can probably be fixed by moving the near and far
planes in the depth buffer (and can be done on the command line).

* Selecting any item in the pop-up menu causes the following to appear
in the terminal window (no other ill effects noted):
"2003-07-23 07:06:04.929 ldglite[11808] GLUT Warning:
glutCurrentModifiers: do not call outside core input callback."

That's probably OK.  It's just a warning. :)

My system: PowerBook G4 (400MHz Ti), OS X 10.2.6 (6L60),
GLUT.framework 2.2.8, 512MB RAM, 8MB Rage 128 video.

Can you copy the Opengl info messages that ldglite prints out when
it starts up?  That'll give me some valuable clues as to how opengl
is making use of your 8MB of VRAM.

Thanks, Don

(...) Don, Here are some comments on the 7/23 version (built from the current.tgz time-stamped early this morning): * Solid part moving mode (-LE) works fine at lower resolutions. I think I tried all of the predefined views. Using -v1024,740 (a (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
