Chris,
I have a 400 MHz PowerBook G4, so I'm also in the 8MB VRAM boat. I have
experienced the part highlighting problem at higher resolutions you mentioned in
the other post at higher resolutions with 0.9.5f, so VRAM seems a likely
culprit. (Having had the same reality distortion field experience after the
WWDC keynote as I did in early '01 with the Ti, I'm hoping to convince my wife
that we need a G5 for the house :).)
Elsewhere, you note the GLUT version you have installed. Did you manage to
build one of the versions from the OS X sample code, or is that the version in
the current GLUT.framework? I had followed some of the GLUT-related discussions
of ldglite in this group a while back, but when I started fiddling with CAD in
earnest, one of the 10.2 updates pretty much resolved those issues for me. I
did see your post regarding your attempt to build GLUT.framework, and will check
that out if I have time.
