By the way, what are you running LDGLite on? I have noticed some

Chris,

I have a 400 MHz PowerBook G4, so I'm also in the 8MB VRAM boat.  I have
experienced the part highlighting problem at higher resolutions you mentioned
in
the other post at higher resolutions with 0.9.5f, so VRAM seems a likely
culprit.  (Having had the same reality distortion field experience after the
WWDC keynote as I did in early '01 with the Ti, I'm hoping to convince my
wife
that we need a G5 for the house :).)

Elsewhere, you note the GLUT version you have installed.  Did you manage to
build one of the versions from the OS X sample code, or is that the version
in
the current GLUT.framework?  I had followed some of the GLUT-related
discussions
of ldglite in this group a while back, but when I started fiddling with CAD
in
earnest, one of the 10.2 updates pretty much resolved those issues for me.  I
did see your post regarding your attempt to build GLUT.framework, and will
check
that out if I have time.

The GLUT I am using is GLUT for Mac OS X 5.0 (GLUT version 3.0) I
downloaded it from the Apple Developers site a while ago.  The archive
is dated Jan 2003. It gives me access to the pop up menu built into
LDGLite. (control+click). I don't think the GLUT shipping with 10.2.6
does.

The GLUT version currently available at the Apple Developers site is
GLUT for Mac OS X 7.0 (GLUT version 3.2), but it won't compile, and I
dont have any idea what I am doing. (I am really quite dangerous at the
command line. I have obliterated entire directories:)

(...) Chris, What is Mac OS X 5.0 and Mac OS X 7.0? I have never heard Mac OS X refered to that way. Do you mean Mac OS X 10.2.5 and Mac OS X 10.2.7? James (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

(...) Chris, thanks for the info. The pop-up menu had been working for me with the GLUT in GLUT.framework 2.2.8 (dated February 11). I got the same error trying to build GLUT from the sample code. --Tom (21 years ago, 24-Jul-03, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
