??? New Theme Proposal ??? `Heres an idea
(Perhaps an old one.) Instead of always commenting or complaining about what Lego should or shouldnt do with regards to its new or upcoming themes, how about we (the AFOL) offer some genuinely New (...) (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.general, lugnet.dear-lego) !

Nice Post! Something like this could really direct TLG towards a more marketable product. Cause the stuff produced now, with the exception of Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the RCX stuff, is really inferior. I actually like the Fantasy Theme aspect (...) (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

For a new theme, I'd suggest the time of discoveries: ships, castles, innumerous different people. It's kind of a link between Castle and Pirates, circa 1450-1700. I have some national interest as well... ;-) And a whole lot of civilian buildings in (...) (23 years ago, 1-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

I'd say more Holiday themes. Why not something like Columbus, or a thanksgiving, or maybe even some "forign" holidays (whats out there?). I like the pirtae idea though i'd love to see better ships! More castle stuff, like the Roman idea, how about (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

I would like to see more realistic sets. I think models that look like somthing in real life would sell well. The Eiffel Tower, The Leaning tower of Pizza, The hollyweird sign etc. I personaly would like to see an 'Aircraft line' maybee one set (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

I concur with Morgan re: the aircraft- In addition to a LEGO sculpture scale, I really like the old circa 1984 Aircraft that LEGO released. It would be great if LEGO would release an extension of the "Flight" Subtheme, or at least make available (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

I would like to see a Star Wars Podracer sub-theme with all of the podracers and their drivers. It might be interesting to have some sets like the hangar, the starting line, etc. (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

I would like to see some fully enclosed buildings from Lego in a Town/Train theme with hinges so you can open and close the buildings. They should also create some furniture for minifigs so live in comfort. Another kit I would like to see from Lego (...) (23 years ago, 2-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

Yes, most excellent post, Richard. On the classic brick front, though, I sent an email to Lego direct last week asking for a Lego Sculptor kit. I believe the single color tub to be the most favorable for a SaH exclusive but on store shelves it would be a flop. It would take too much floor space and how would a store order? Would a case come evenly packed? Many giant retail stores won't (...) (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)

As far as I know, I have not written a program to illustrate circles or spheres constructed out of LEGO bricks. I have diagrams of all circles of single brick width and even radii from 2 - about 48 which I made using Photoshop, but those diagrams (...) (23 years ago, 4-Sep-01, to lugnet.general)
