Instead of always commenting or complaining about what Lego ‘should’ or
‘shouldn’t’ do with regards to its new or upcoming themes, how about we (the
AFOL) offer some genuinely New Themes/Systems that would be commercially viable.

Possible themes that would both sell well and gain our interests.
A -Top (5) Five List- of the best New Themes for Lego to look into for 2003.
Weather it’s a new theme, or an extension to an older theme, just propose
your top five choices and the reasons why!

-Top 5- New Lego Themes for 2003:

1) Fantasy/Monsters.
(Why; with the advent of Harry Potter the realm of the fantastic could be
further explored. Unicorns, Trolls, Flying horses, Goblins, Vampires.  Think
Legend. ‘the movie’)
http://news.lugnet.com/castle/?n=10230

2) Pirate extension
(Why; to further explore aspects of this dynamic genre. Perhaps a later
edition with more complex ships with actual working rigging. Think ‘The
Bluenose’ [Canadian Dime] )

3) Castle extension      [Vikings or Roman]
(Why; because there is soooo much history before 1000 A.E.  A Vikings theme
could have ships and Barbarians and a Roman theme could have Gladiators and
a Coliseum.)

4) Train/Town Super theme
(Why; because a renaissance of these two themes would attract quite a number
of parents who remember their old play sets! Plus this would satisfy all the
Train & Town people!)

5) Revolutionary Reenactments.
(Why; who wouldn’t want to raid the Bastille in the French Revolution. Or be
Mel Gibson in The Patriot fighting the American Revolution. Or Struggle in
the Russian Rev.)

                                     And so much more…

Ice Planet in 2003
(I'd really like to see this theme return, it has so much promise.)

Mongols or Arabian Knights
(Another Castle extension; perhaps this should be part of a Historical
System theme)

       ,’,’,’,’,’,’,SOO00oooooo, what’s in your Top 5 list?
