For the sake of accuracy, the server at Larry's end was working fine.

Ok - but that doesn't change my point.  It's out of YOUR control if
Yahoo accepts messages from Larry's server.  You'd have no way of
knowing if it does or doesn't until you actually are sent one.

Yes, I know this, *and* I knew it that time that Larry tried to make it look
like my fault by saying the problem was on my end.

That's not accurate. What IS accurate is that when I discovered there was a
problem, I talked to my support and based on what they told me then, I said to
you that the problem was at your end.

Later on, you insinuated that I was deliberately not sending you mails, and
claimed that I was trying to "pin the blame" on you for mails I didn't send. So
then I shared the whole ticket trail with you showing that it was indeed a
problem at your end, not mine.

It's not really useful to talk about FAULT, it's useful to talk about who should
do something about it. If the problem is at your end (which it is, Yahoo, which
*you* choose to use in preference to other providers, is incorrectly treating my
company as a spammer, when it's not any such thing) it seems to me that you
ought to be the one that should take action to rectify it.

That's not fault, that's just who should take action.

Have to admit, he's good at spin.

I prefer to think of it as good at correcting your insinuations and false
accusations.

On the other hand, you KNOW that mail from LUGNET is getting to you,
since otherwise you wouldn't be able to do anything on the site.  (Well,
I guess it reminds me that the posting setup should send an email ping
to the address you provide - or does it do that already?)

I don't won't accept any unofficial email warnings.  Otherwise the emails I've
received from Larry lately would primarily *be* warnings.

When I warn someone, they know it. The text makes it clear. I haven't warned
you, officially or unofficially. I have given you feedback, which you choose to
disregard, as is your right.

I want official warnings from @lugnet.com.

What if that's not technically possible? What then?

If they are sent from a server who's address is
poorly chosen, and don't get all the way to my end, but instead are dropped
somehwere in the middle, am I really at fault?

No, you're not at fault, but the issue is yours to correct. The ToU says you
need to have a working email. That includes making sure your spamblock is
working correctly. If your provider isn't implementing spamblocking correctly,
you need to seek a different provider, or suffer the consequences of not
receiving mail.
