(...) Wow. I am suprised Belkin doesnt work. Their products are really good. I never heard of Peracom. I know that Lego claims that "it worked for some users", but I wanted to stick with brand-names that I was familar with. Does anyone know if Lego (...)   Re: Interesting Castle on Ebay

(...) How phenomenally odd! "DALU"? "DALULAND"? I assume this is a translation of some kind? But why translate a product name? Does "lego" mean something in Arabic? Could it concievably be a rip off of lego? I'm not sure how copyright laws are in (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

Re: USB->Serial Converts and IR Tower

Somewhere on the Mindstorms site, I found a reference to the Peracom adapter. I have not tried it, but I did buy a Belkin USB Hub with a serial port and I know that the Belkin doesn't work. Scott (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I spotted these last night: - K-Mart at 183/620 has about 10 silver anniversary buckets at normal price ($9.99) - Target at 183/620 has several Gungan Subs and Sith Infiltrators at around 40% off, along with some Cyberslam sets and a few misc small (...)   Interesting Castle on Ebay

I found an interesting castle set from saudi-arabia on ebay: (URL) looks like a variation on the Black Falcon Fortress. Any insights from the more knowledgeable folks here? I noticed that it was numbered 708. (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

  Connecting Via a USB Hub

I have a USB Hub with an RS-232 port. When I connect the IR Transmitter to this port, the firmware downloads fine. If I have a program with a single RCX command block, it's fine too.   Re: Big Lego Christmas

My own LEGO christmas was relatively tame. My older sister, her husband, my father, and I went in together to get Mindstorms for my nephew (and we managed to find a 1.0, and I ordered the upgrade for him). I got Dave Baum's book and 8735 Power Pack (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
