I have a USB Hub with an RS-232 port. When I connect the IR Transmitter to this port, the firmware downloads fine. If I have a program with a single RCX command block, it's fine too. I, too, am a big fan of Israel. Studied there in college for a semester and liked it so much that I dragged my wife there for our honeymoon (we hiked around for 3 months).
