Has anyone ever been missing a piece?

I'm just curious if anyone has ever built their newly-bought lego set only to discover a piece is missing. I've often been positive partway through that I was missing one, but I always ended up finding it. On the other hand, I *always* have a small (...) (27 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Imperial Armada 6280 -- rare find these days?

Both the local Sears and Zellers suddenly seem to have stumbled upon some 6280 Armada Flagship sets, which they've put on the shelves alongside the usual 1999 fare. Since most pirate lego sets came out during my own Dark Age, I checked lugnet and (...) (27 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

Dya has the Explorian Ship for US $40 or so and shipping is like $15 or so ground. So it evens out, even though it's coming from France and you don't get the instant gratification. The black train windows came from a 4559 which has 4. Also, you might think of getting 2 5542's if you want to make one in all black. Most of the yellow pieces also occur in black in that set, so 2 should allow you to substitute most of the yellow (...) (27 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)
