1. If you want to make your station, it will be very much and very hard
work, because it is *huge*. But smaller things, like a 50-parts spaceship,
works fine.
2. I´ve used the totally free raytracer POV-ray for theese animations. Since
I have a PC I also have got Ldraw, in which I build the models and then I
convert them to a povray file, and add some animation "stuff" to the file
and run it.
You could use Anton Raves POV-ray library for your models:
http://people.a2000.nl/araves/Main.html
Each brick is a small povray-file and you download it in a complete
zip-file. Anton is using a Mac, as well!
POV-ray can be downloaded from http://www.povray.org/
It will take some time for you to know the program, if you´ve never used it
before. It is a text-based renderer, so you´ll have to type in lights, the
location of your bricks etc.
Sorry for the long post, I think another good thing would be to ask in
lugnet.cad, since those guys do this things all the time ;-)

| Tobias, Yeah you where 1 of 2 people that saw it. I posted a thank you. I have 2 questions: Can a CAD program make something as big as my station? And can I do it on a Mac? Rick (...) (25 years ago, 13-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)
