One manufacturer of such a device is Fascinating Electronics of Oregon. They make a device that hooks to your serial port, you send it "commands" and it answers. If you have an opinion on either of the following two points I would like to hear them. 1. I have been thinking of adding a "Trading Post" to www.nelug.org. This area would be used for people to post pieces that they are looking for as well as (...) I tend to think that too much sorting is counter-productive. If you have one tray for every possible kind of part and colour, there's gonna be far too many trays for you to lay out before you can even begin building. On the other hand, if you put (...) (27 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.storage)

Yes, I think they are that good for parts. Just look at the parts inventory. Besides, I have several of each truck from last year doing the same thing ;-) I'm getting them for parts, but also in case someone outside the US wants them, I'll have them (...)
