Hello All,
Just had another MindFest meeting at MIT. Here's the latest:
All NELUGers interested in the upcoming MindFest event are officially
invited to meet at the MIT Media Lab. (Building E15) Specifically, in the
Epistemology & Learning Group's "Cube" conference room. We'll have to fix a
date -- some evening soon would be super.
My apologies to those who've offered up their own locations -- I don't mean
to step on any toes. I'm sure future gatherings will bring us all 'round.
A few reasons I suggest this location for event discussion:
- as you are planning a project, I would like to walk you through the
entire space here. This will give you a mental picture. I can also describe
other slated exhibits, workshops and activities.
- I'd like for you to meet at least one other committee member, Rachel
Elkin. She is in charge of what we've been calling the Construction Zone; a
very big floor space with areas devoted to building and programming with
LEGO MindStorms, our Cricket technology, piles of LEGO SYSTEM bulk bricks,
and much, much DUPLO.
Rachel needs some volunteers to hang out in these areas off and on
throughout the event weekend. (To help folks, keep an eye on stuff...) As
you all are "LEGO Experts" you're in high demand! At proposed meeting she
can talk to anyone who might be interested, explaining what it would
involve, how much of your time, the perks, etc.
I haven't gone through all of my mail yet, but it seems like there are some
great opportunities. it's very exciting.
Please post any thoughts, suggestions, etc.
-Suz.
But keep in mind that questions directed to me may take some time to answer.
"I'm wickid bizy!"
;-)

| (...) This sounds great! I can't wait to finally see the inside of the very famous MIT Media Lab. Does anyone want to actually propose a date and time for the next meeting? OK, I will. How about next Tuesday at 7:30 PM? (I'm just throwing out an (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ma.bos)
