Stylistically it is neat. And it's a cool design exercise. However it
pretty clearly violates trade dress IMHO.

So I vote for a variant on the first one. Perhaps putting studs on some
faces of the bricks the way LUGNET did?

Another update, I've been swamped between home and work but John Neal
(Thanks J2) came up with two ideas for logos:

http://www.execpc.com/~pfoster/logo1.gif
http://www.execpc.com/~pfoster/logo2.gif

So which one do people prefer?

The domain has been registered and is up but not much will be
there until Friday proably at the earliest.

A short update, I registered the domain Sunday,
now I am just waiting for account information
from Pair.  Anyone want to whip up a cool logo?

Hi,

someone already posted they are working on a logo,
but I have an idea for something I want to add.

we should have a map of all the states that are in
the org, made out of Lego. so that you can click on
the state for info on that area...
I would be willing to make the map if you want me to.
just tossing another idea into the mix...

later!
Joel

That sounds like a cool way to navigate to the sub-areas
as long as it doesn't need CGI access, (didn't spring for
that).  I'm guessing John is working on an overall logo
which would be needed also, (as long as it doesn't irritate
everybody by mentioning 8-wide trains).
