If you have an opinion on either of the following two points I would like to
hear them.
1. I have been thinking of adding a "Trading Post" to www.nelug.org. This
area would be used for people to post pieces that they are looking for as well
as pieces they have for trade. This area would be for Trading only no direct
sales and would require the participants in a potential trade working out a
deal between themselves without NELUG intervention. Of course trades can be
made at NELUG meetings I just don't want to have to be a middle man when it
comes to trades. Also if you want to trade for cash that is OK but I will not
post prices on NELUG just parts.
This area would allow for two ways to post 1. If someone allready has a trading
page I could just link to it. 2. People could submit their pieces needed to
me and I would post them on a simple text page that would be updated
periodically.
Is this a good idea or should I just drop it?
2. I have been posting these messages to each state group as well as the
ma.bos group. It seems to me that most traffic comes through ma.bos and the
other groups only get NELUG stuff. I was thinking of just posting one message
to each group stating what NELUG is and that we post to X group for discussion
purposes.
It just seems that we are filling up these groups with lots of messages.
Should I continue to cross post all of these messages or not?
Thanks for your input.

| (...) Sure, if you want to put the work into making it. I don't know how heavily used it would be, but I don't think your effort would be wasted. (...) I'm not sure "filling" is the right word -- it's not like these are high-traffic groups (...)
