Hi,
Has anyone found the "light bricks" to be of bright enough
intensity to be useful as "homing beacons" on robots? I understand
that they can be attached to an RCX output port much like a motor,
and that their intensity can be controlled in much the same way
as a motor's speed.
I'm considering buying several for an AI/Robotics class I'm
teaching with the MindStorms kit, but I'd like to hear if anyone
has found them to be bright enough to attract the attention of
a light sensor in a (perhaps dimmed, but not pitch black) room.
Thanks for your help,

| Frank, What are the Light Bricks?? Source?? I just put two LED's on a 2x2 brick, with copper foil contacts. On an RCX Output it can be Red or Green (Direction) and can be dimmed with the power levels. A Radio Shack Super Brightness LED can be seen (...) (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.robotics)
