Seems like I can post again. I wanted to comment this, that I have tried something like this, taking parts with me. Thanks for all the suggestions. I am thinking about a tunnel also. The problem is the file size. The colors have to be reduced to keep the size down and the more detail I add the less reduction frame to frame I get. The file right now is 356kb. How (...) We at LUCNY run long trains - 6 wide - but often 30 pieces of stock long. Our experience is you have to have a rear driver else the magnetic couplings are likely to give out. Snippage (...) I have to disagree about 7 wide. Its a good compromise between 6 and 8 wide. You can still use some 6 wide elements (centered with jumper plates) while building a bigger beefier train. (...) The stripe is red. It's just faded photographs that make it look orange. The hardest match is the colour around the windows, as it's a very dark grey cyanic colour. I suppose if you live in England it counts as "sea blue". I think dark grey, (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Oh please, you use a 1x5 technic 'rotor' plate and push the studs of an upturned 1x2 plate down into the ends and build on that. Hello all, I am collecting parts to build a English Advanced Passinger Train. It will have a 7 wide base, 6 wide top and 6 wide front. And alot of various hinge bricks and plates. It will be based on James Mathis APT design. But I was abit unsure (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jan-04, to lugnet.trains)

The studs on the box are hollow, so he probably just shifted some 1x4 tiles over half a stud, or used a 1x6 or 1x8 tile to link the two sides together. For that matter, it would be just as (...)
