Coming weekend, the Central Ohio Lego Train Club (COLTC) will have a 25x25 foot
layout at the Columbus GATS, at the Ohio Expo Center (for directions visit
www.coltc.org or www.gats.com). Show hours are 11 AM - 5 PM both days, Adult
admission is $7, kids under 12 are free.
This is our first hometown GATS, and we're going all out! We will have a layout
with 3 train loops, 4 monorail loops, and a large train yard, with many custom
trains. We have a big city section, with no less than 4 5+-foot Columbus
skyscrapers, 3 have never been shown before to the public!! We have a huge
castle, (6 x 6 ft.), and a neighboring medieval village, with numerous buildings
and details. In addition, a large church on a rock, and a large beach/underwater
scene! Also, you can see a 10 foot (!) suspension bridge, and many other
buildings and smaller creations, several are out in public for the first time.
There will be a kids building area, and many AFOLs' to meet and talk too!!
Since our founding meeting on Feb 9, 2003 (with only 3 AFOL's attending), we
have come a long way. We have close to 20 adult members, and have done 5 shows
so far, and have committed to at least 4 more in the near future! We do have
room for more members, come check it out!
