Steve, This is really, really cool. The Turtle Creek model does a great job at showing how one can obtain very realistic effects with LEGO bricks. The use of non-primary colors lends a lot to the model. Too bad the tans, off-yellows, off-greens, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

G'Day This is the method i most commonly use, as the wire comes of the motor block and enters the 'fuel tanks' i put a horizontal loop in the wire before in goes up into the body of the loco, seems to give it enough play that the motor swings (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Nope. Just the 2x2 wire connector straight onto the motor. Of course there is a tile on top of the wire connector and the layered plate floor/frame has a cutout, I'm pretty sure that's not the source of the resistance, I tested that with 2 (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

Hello Larry, here is another weird idea that might help or not ... If, wherever you are currently routing the cable, you give it one whole turn, wouldn't that make sure there is at least one place along the cable length that allows the cable to (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

Since you aren't using a train base plate, I assume you are using a 2x4 electric plate attached to the motor contacts and then attaching the 2x2 wire concetor to the under side of the 2x4 electric plate ? SteveB (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)
