   Hi All,

I just finally realized to ask Jake how did something like the Santa Fe (engine and car set) and the BNSF ever get made as sets at LEGO? Humbly he told me.

Over time (say the last 4 years) Jake has been “suggesting” ideas to the LEGO Direct product marketing folks. At first they thought he was nuts but somehow slow and steadily he has had bigger and bigger successes with his suggestions. Well now its at the point where they actually ask him for suggestions for sets, mainly targeted at their customers, who are the more serious LEGO enthusiasts and not necessarily just the AFOLs. It is important to note that these LEGO Direct sets are not necessarily officially part of the theme-based product-lines that come from Denmark even though they may be train, or Star Wars, etc; think of the Red Baron plane etc...

So with that said, we have Jake the thank for the BNSF!!!

T H A N K S !!!!

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I want to be Jake when I grow up...

Thank you, Jake - for being a LEGO FAN first, and employee second!

And I’m looking forward to seeing you in Cincinnati!
