(...) Just some information. I see that you use only 2 red LED's for the crossing signal. If you use the round 1x1 bricks, then you can pull the wires through the hole of these bricks. I guess I am going to show my age here. In Los Angeles, in the forties, the trolleys had a pole on both ends and the conductor simply pulled one down and raised the other. He then sat in the seat at the other end of the car and went the opposite (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Hi, I'm converting some 12V trains to 9V. To match the new motors as close as possable I want to have a plate _under_ the trainwheels. But while testing this 1 train had problems with a switch (it derailed) while an other didn't. Does anyone have (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

I have found that LEGO printing leaves a lot to be desired these days. Quality control on this is not what it used to be. However I actually prefer the new angle stripes over the old curve style. Looks more modern or something. But i do hope it (...) (23 years ago, 18-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

Why is it that there is such a huge chunk of the MRR hobby (both Lego and traditional) that puts sooooo much time into automation? Looks like you have a good start on several interesting projects. The linear transfer table is of interest to me. It is similar to some of the projects I have worked on with my machines. The 4561 DOES come with the regulator, the 4565 DOES NOT. The reason the 4565 is more expensive is that it has 966 parts as opposed to 645 in 4565. I have both of these sets and they are both pretty good fun, each have their own merit. The 4565 is (...) (23 years ago, 17-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

In the current S@H catalog (bionicle cover), in the MOT section (p38-39), the picture of the "Small Train Engine with Tender" seems to have the tender connected to the engine backwards. I got a pair of 10015's in the post this morning. Note for parts junkies: Each car has 14 green 1x2x3 train windows with trans-blue panes (in the normal train stylee) which is a new one on me. (...) There is no corelation between LEGO Train rail guage and any other model rail guage. That said I personnally find it closest to O gauge (for six wides). I called LD on August 7 and was told that they were getting a shipment of September 28, and the lady on the phone didn't know if they were going to accept preorders for 10001. But I don't know if that means they'll only be getting them in on (...) (23 years ago, 13-Aug-01, to lugnet.trains)

The Greater Florida Lego Train Club appeared at the GATS 2001 in Orlando Aug 11 and 12. Great job! The engine and generator are super. I really like the overhead lights. Your model resembles the original quite well except for the lettering on the side. The letters overwhelm the model.
