I think that every lego town should have an Air Base, in particular one that has a lot of NASA people that work there. I would also advise anyone with an idea like mine, or someone who's building an airport, the most realistic thing that should be (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

I thought of building a Best Buy for lego town especially since I work there but I always had a problem with scale because if I used teh correct scale the building woould be say 150 studs wide and 100 studs deep. Extremely huge for any lego (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

The real world, no kidding. I have been trying to figure out how to model America (as oposed to Europe) for my train layout and it just hit me. It is really a sad commentary on us (US) but it still works! I have a Circuit City almost complete and a (...) (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

While I do agree that these are great models (I thought it was a picture of a real home depot in the brickshelf gallery thumbnail), I have to disagree that every lego town needs one of these. Modularisation I think has to be the way forward, so that a small set can function perfectly on its own, but when combined with a larger set provides enhanced playability. Peter, Thanks for the comps! The windows are those big ugly 2x6x6 freestyle (pseudo-fabuland) windows that we never know what to do with. :) The door are 2x4x5 that normally house solid 6 panel doors. Hi Dave, When i build a town i try to think of what i would like to see in the town if i was a minifig. Nice tree's some grass, always a park for the kids with a few benches for the old folks, maybe if enough room a lake or pond, build a swimming (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

You know with the Lego Group, they'll always churn out an emergency type set out every year in the town theme. That is a given...Fire Fighter's HQ and lift truck (circa 2000) were the last sets out in the "emergency sub-theme"... its probably time (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)

This is going to be long... Emergency Services: I would like to see a full compliment of emergency services vehicles and buildings; fire station, hospital and police station. I have started work on a massive 16 wide Great Lakes Ore Freighter (Ore Boat). I think this is possibly the only Lego Ore Freighter, and if not, will be the largest. I've updated my page, and will be updating it multiple times today, I've decided to stick with the JPEG's for now, the GIF's turned out to be larger & slower loading. If a model has more then 10 steps it will get more then one page, with 10 steps (...) I thought about doing castles and pirates, but that was really stretching the "natural history" concept a little two far towards "museum of man." Thanks My wife wants me to build another city now. Since we've now moved into our new house and I again have a LEGO room, I have the space again. However, this building took many of my finest parts. Yep, I know that one also - but I am sure I don't have that. I would have noticed. ;) The ones I have are not stickers, they are actually printed onto the piece. The pieces themselves are 2 bricks high, thin, and have two studs on top. They both (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jan-01, to lugnet.town)
