I have a design (not my own) for a really neat workbench that just may
be perfect for what you need. It's easy to build and only requires a single
sheet of 4' X 8' X 3/4" plywood -- no glue or nails.
I just put the pictures and instructions on my web page:

Scroll down to the bottom and click on the little workbench thumbnail.
Hope this helps.

| I will be moving within the next couple of months and would like to dedicate all or part of a room strictly to my LEGOs. I am currently using an old antique desk for building models and holding my storage bins. I can just see my mom cringe everytime (...) (26 years ago, 22-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)
