No offense to anyone in particular, but you people with garages, attics,
basements, rec rooms and room for homemade tables and 8x10 set-ups make me
ill.  I have to build anything/everything on a 3x5 table and ususally have
to deconstruct well before I'm ready so that the table can get used!!!!!!

Ah the price of living in an NYC apartment.

I'd like to share Ed's grumbling :) • <snip>
What have other people done/thought of to use
their Lego collections in small spaces?

My NLS and I live in a two bedroom apartment. My dad gave us his bedroom
furniture when he moved so we have cabinets with glass doors. It really cuts
down the dust. The two big cabinet fits two big baseplates rather nicely, and
all have a glass shelf. In the cabinet in my bedroom, the shelf holds my train,
station, and various little vehicles. Below is my town, all six buildings of
it. In the other single wide cabinet in my room, is my black spaceship. In my
daughter's room is the other big cabinet which holds a wizard's tower (nothing
spectacular), blacksmith, king's carriage, wolfpack, and native american set.
When I build, I use my bed, it's queen-size, waist-high. It gives me a good
excuse to make the bed :)

ramble, ramble...

(...) I'd like to share Ed's grumbling :) I also live in an apartment and my Lego space is relegated to some shelves behind a door and a little closet space. I think I've made the most of this space, though. I have 9 20" x 30" felt covered boards (...) (26 years ago, 27-Oct-98, to lugnet.storage)
