They did do that in Mindstorms. They could certainly exclude the expensive
computer technology and make it LEGO System snowspeeder scale at the same
price.

Am I the only one who wants TLC to make a big TECHNIC Dewback? We are getting
a Technic stormtrooper.

I expect this too. A Tauntaun in the Sculpture theme would also be cool.
I also expect most vehicles to be repeated, with new colours and minifigs.
Kids born in 1999 will want to play with LEGO X-wings and Snowspeeders just
like the kids born in the previous decades. Since Star Wars goes to 2007 or
something like that, and the original line will likely be discontinued within
the next two years, TLC should make new editions of the most popular vehicles.
If kids in 2007 get only obscure playsets and no vehicles, they won't have as
much fun.

| (...) I don't know if this means anything, but some of the initial release sets are being marked 'D' on the Wal-Mart shelves. I think this means they're discontinued, as several other sets that I know are on the way out are also marked with a 'D'. (...) (24 years ago, 8-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars)
