*Sandcrawler

This would have to be so big, I can't imagine them making a set for it.  I
mean, few people would recognise it!

I imagine we'll at least see a play set... the Jawas are highly recognizable.

*T-16 Skyhopper

Never even on film- seems unlikely

Actually it did appear (very briefly) in the first film.  It never appeared
in flight, but it was in there.

*Sandtroopers with Dewback

Uh.  The Dewback would end up being a Kaadu-like guy, but it might be cool.
Definitely good for getting lots of Stormtroopers.

We can hope for these... the Dewback wouldn't be that exciting, but the
cheap Stormtroopers would make the set worth it.

*Han and Luke on Tauntauns

Gungan patrol part 2, seems likely.

I've seen Tauntauns made out of regular pieces in Lego displays (official
displays.)  A single piece seems more likely, but perhaps they'll release
the one in their displays to the public.  I can also see a Han and Chewie w/
Probe Droid set.

Am I forgetting anything?  This is all I can come up with that is even
remotely possible.  Keep in mind, though, I'm talking Classic Trilogy and
System sets, here.  I left out anything that seemed way too big for TLC to
bother (Star Destroyers, Tantive IV, Mon Cal Cruisers, etc)

Any thoughts?  Agree/disagree?

As for vehicles there are precious few left... with luck we'll get some of
the more obscure stuff such as the Swoop bike and the Lars family landspeeder.
But there are plenty of playsets left to do.  Lego has only done a few SW
playsets... all of them small (except Watto's Junkyard if you can call that
a playset.)  I imagine in the coming years we'll see more playsets...
Here's what comes to mind:

from ANH:
Sandcrawler (perhaps just the bottom) with Jawas + Droids
Lars Homestead with Luke, Owen, Beru, and droids
Jundland Wasteland with Luke, Ben, the droids, Sandpeople and Banthas
Mos Eisley Cantina with some aliens, Chewie and Han
Death Star Escape with Han + Luke in ST Uniform, Leia and Chewie

from ESB:
Echo Base with Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, Droids and a Medical Droid
Snowfield with Han, Chewie, and Probe Droid
Star Destroyer Bridge with Vader and some Imperial Officers
Degobah Swamp with Yoda, Luke, Ghost of Obi-Wan and R2
Cloud City with Han, Lando, Leia, Chewie, Ugnaughts and the Droids
Carbon Freeze Chamber with Boba Fett, Vader, Lando, and the Carbonite block

from ROTJ:
Jabba's Palace with Jabba, 3PO, Luke, Leia, Chewie and Han
Rancor Pit with Gamorean Guard, Luke, and the Rancor
Ewok Village with Ewoks
Imperial Base with Imperial Officers, Scout Troopers
Emperor's Throne Room with the Emperor, Vader, Luke, and Royal Guards

Those are just off the top of my head.  There are plenty of Episode 1
playsets that could be made as well.  I imagine that (for some reason) Lego
is doing all of the vehicles first and will concentrate on the playsets later.

I was just thinking about the SW sets we've seen so far from the Classic Trilogy, and I was realising that TLC is almost out of major vehicles! Forget speculation about what they *might* do next, what's left to do? *TIE Interceptor *TIE Bomber I (...) (24 years ago, 7-Dec-00, to lugnet.starwars)
