Hey, an excuse to read (ok skim) the Geneva Convention.  Cool.

In lugnet.off-topic.debate, Dave Schuler wrote:

But what about this? ( from http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/91.htm )

"Prisoners of war who, owing to their physical or mental condition,
are unable to state their identity, shall be handed over to the medical
service. The identity of such prisoners shall be established by all
possible means, subject to the provisions of the preceding paragraph."

I suppose one could argue that his use of body doubles activates
the "by all possible means" clause, which would seem to include
the video.

Is there an addendum that clarifies when a video is humiliating
and when it's not?  Saddam appeared in lots of video before, and
will probably appear in more during the trial.  What are the rules
on this?  I haven't found them yet.

Thanks,

Don
