I'll have a go at it :)
I'm in Wisconsin
Things in: Some rock raiders parts, Star Wars, Wild West
Things out: well... anything that looks interesting, I have too many
projects going through my mind :(

Hi all,

In January I announced that the Weeks box was ready to go.  I assembled a list
of participants, decided to do them in a geographical circuit, showed what was
in it in pictures, discussed what to take out because people didn't like the
weight, and stalled -- for six months.

Sorry.

This past weekend, it was at the East Coast Brick Fest and a few people traded
with it.  There's some good stuff.  And I want it to go out again.

Last time it went out, all of the trades that were reported to me, sounded
fair.  And the volume grew, but when it finally got back to me, the "value" of
the box was lower.  I don't want that to happen again.  Everyone should make
trades that are a good deal for them, but as much as possible, the objective
value should increase.  That sometimes means using value dense elements.

So, I am soliciting participants.  I want you to respond to this note with your
name, state or province (or your nation if outside North America), three words
(only) describing what you want, and three words (only) describing what you
might be able to put in.  Those words can be theme (Trains, Wild West, etc.),
type (plates, windows, etc.), colors (black, trans-dk-green, etc.), or
whatever.  For instance, my response would look like this:

Christopher Weeks
New Jersey
Take: transparent, pirate, pink
Add: pirate, train, plates

(notice that I have pirate on both lines...that's fine)

I'm going to send it out in loops of five, instead of the original ten because
I want to maintain a closer watch over things.  I'm going to look at the
responses and pick five of you, based on how I can match up the take and add
lines and then send it out.  The people who signed up for it in January (Erik
Olson, Mike Walsh, Frank Filz, Matthew Greene, Doug Finney, Dave Jost, Tamy
Teed, Tom Stangl, Paul Sinasohn, and Susan Olson) will have somewhat of a first
crack at it if they still want in -- but I'll be basing the decision on the
wants and adds more.

If you play this box, please consider yourself obligated to the following:

1. You will post a quickie note in response to this thread within three days of
receiving this box, stating that you have it and if you've done your trades --
what they were in general terms only.  If you haven't done your trades the note
will include an ETA on when the trade will be concluded and when you'll ship it
out.  I'll work with Tommy Johnson to keep the web page tracking this box and
updated regularly.

2. You will strive to trade fairly.  If you know the market, then you should
know what fair is.  If you don't, then look it up.  Use the most recent
Auczilla, use eBay, ask around, ask me, etc.  There are many resources to make
sure that you're being fair.  I want newbies to feel comfortable participating,
but it is important that everyone is playing by the same rules.

3. The normal rule for the amount that you can take is a maximum of 50%.  If
you break this due to extreme circumstances for some reason, please attend to
the value of the box with increased diligence.

It seems like I was going to explicitly state more, but I think basically
covers it.

If you're interested, respond to this message and I'll try to get the first
round put together by the end of the week.  If you have any suggestions, let me
know.

Sincerely,

Christopher Weeks
