Yea, I think I know what your saying too. I very breifly saw that part of
the presentation Steve put up with the list of whos onboard and I was
getting an uneasy feeling looking at it.

Yeah, Adrian, this is the part Ive got a problem with. Ive heard NOTHING from
Steve about this and yesterday was the first word Id gotten that there was no
Southwestern Brick Event being planned for 2004. Ive got a BIG problem whenever
someone tries to walk in and take over something they arent even a part of.
Putting together a list of whos onboard when no discussion about it has taken
place makes me sick to my stomach. If this is some sort of sick ego/power trip,
then Im fine with it. Pick a new weekend sometime in March/April and knock
yourself out with putting together an event in Portland, but DO NOT PRESUME to
take over what was already started with BricksWest 2002 and 2003 and not expect
some serious pressure over it. Try it, and you might find the SoCal LUGs and
TLCs have a little something to say about it.
Id gladly help put such an event together, but Im not doing it by myself. Ive
put togehter comic/game cons in the past and its a LOT of work. I have neither
the time, money, energy, or patience with my fellow human beings to be able to
deal with something like this on my own.
