There has been so much said I don't know where to start.
First LLCA is not the best place to have the show. If you could hold the show
totaly in the park it may work but you can't...NOT ENOUGH ROOM. The hotel rates
for rooms as well as display space are too much and are part of the reason the
show will not be held in the SD area this year.
As for MATT G,
Mark I'm still waiting next to my mailbox for my magazine. It's only a couple of
months late.
I applaud Matt for making a go of it and he may be back, but at this point I
think he is done. Should he make a formal statement? YES. I think if he came out
and said hey I tried but it did not work the money is gone sorry. Most people
would say thanks for trying Matt and get back to playing.
When this idea of having a show came up a few months ago there was lots of
things that were brought up. Location, the weekend it is held, and how to get
more people to come. I was under the impression that there was going to be an
attempt to consolidate the west coast con's,but i have seen an annocement for NW
CON for October and that concerns me. I don't know if it was allready in the
works or if they just want to hold there own con. Which is fine. At this time I
don't think the Lego community can support three or more con's a year.
The idea of have a rotating con is a great idea. I will not be able to go every
year but will make an attempt to come to most.
