It has been a year since the last election of the LDraw.org Standards Committee (LSC). Nominations are now open. All nominations must be received and recorded by July 15. I'd use the "daily snapshot". It should match the latest Windows and Mac releases. I just never got around to testing linux build of of version 1.1.8, as you can see. Anyhow, main.c should include the bumpy case "StdAfx.h". I stuck a few linux stubs (...) (18 years ago, 30-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) Yeah, that makes sense. LDView will notify the server that it accepts gzipped content, but will work fine either way. It will just work faster when the response is gzipped. (...) Yes, and now I know what the problem was: the scan takes 56 minutes on my computer, with no sign of life from LDList, so I assumed that LDList must have had crashed. Do you have the latest version? 'Search by stud count' wasn't there until 4.0 (I think). Check the version in the caption bar (top of the window). Get 4.1 from: (URL) installing, you must also do a 'Scan' again, to rebuild the index. (18 years ago, 18-May-06, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Sorry to so quickly respond to my own post, but I forgot to mention something. One of the sample models that LDView comes with makes use of a fair number of unofficial parts (15, to be exact). I'm working on a feature in LDView where it will automatically check the parts tracker for unofficial parts when it encounters a file that it can't find. Travis, Those images are very impressive! The lines are big and bold, instead of disappearing into the surface they are supposed to be outlining. They are instruction-grade. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm and suggestions. Unfortunately, Bricksmith does not have any native ability to export the images it generates.
